Abhay Charanaravinda Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada is widely regarded as the foremost Vedic scholar, translator, and teacher of the modern era. He is especially respected as the world's most prominent contemporary authority on Bhakti-Yoga, devotional service to the Supreme Person, Krishna, as taught by the ancient Indian Vedic scriptures.
He is also the founder-acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) - a global movement that has established over 600 centres, schools, temples, and farm communities worldwide.

ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) follows the Guru parampara (disciplic succession) of the Brahma-Madhva-Gaudiya Sampradaya. This lineage traces back to Lord Krishna Himself, who imparted spiritual knowledge to His disciple Brahma, who then passed it down to Narada Muni, followed by Vyasadeva, Madhva, and ultimately to ISKCON's founder, A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
