ISKCON was founded by Srila Prabhupada in New York City in 1966. The 60th anniversary in 2026 is a global milestone for the entire Vaishnava world.
50yrs
Srila Prabhupada's 50th Tirobhava
1977 - 2027
Srila Prabhupada departed from this world on November 14, 1977. The 50th anniversary of his Tirobhava (disappearance) in 2027 calls all devotees to deepen their personal connection with him.

From Calcutta to the World
The extraordinary personal journey of Abhay Charan De - born 1896 in Calcutta - who, at the age of 69, boarded a cargo ship to America with only a few rupees and a trunk of books. He circled the globe 14 times in 12 years, establishing Krishna consciousness on every continent.

Srila Prabhupada translated and wrote purports for over 80 volumes of Vedic scripture - Bhagavad-gita As It Is, Srimad Bhagavatam (18 volumes), Caitanya-caritamrta (17 volumes), and more. These books are the living foundation of the Hare Krishna movement.

His Mission
Founding and Building ISKCON
In 1966 in New York City, Srila Prabhupada founded the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. He established 108+ temples, farm communities, schools, and restaurants worldwide - on four pillars: Book distribution, Deity worship, Harinama sankirtana, and Varnasrama communities.
